From your first idea to the finished project

Building work is easier to manage when you understand what happens next. Our process is divided into five clear stages.

1. Initial consultation The first step is a conversation about what you want to achieve, your priorities and your available budget. Once we understand the project, we can advise on the most appropriate way forward.

2. Preconstruction design Where design work is required, the layout, materials, finishes and practical requirements are developed before construction begins. For extensions and conversions, this stage may also involve architectural plans, structural considerations, planning requirements and Building Control.

3. Quotation You will receive a quotation setting out the resources required to complete the agreed work. This gives you the opportunity to understand the proposed cost and discuss the specification before deciding whether to proceed.

4. Construction Once the quotation and design are agreed, construction can begin. The work is managed in accordance with the agreed design and you are kept informed as the project progresses.

5. Inspection and handover At completion, the work is inspected before the finished space is handed back to you.
